EZ  Fire Border Technique

TAG or HEADER

HootyTut© by Doyle Allen  1/29/04

Approved by the HootyTutTestersGroup!

What you need:

Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop and a graphic or

Tube.

EyeCandy4000/Fire

Skill Level: Intermediate

Preparation:

Open a graphic/tube of your choice and

resize it, frame it, add text etc and

merge/flatten the layers.

I will leave it up to you when you put

the watermark on this.

  Intermediate skilled user should have

no problem with doing that.

It's just basics.

Note: The Size that you make it depends

on how you intend to use it in the end.

Ok? With your header/tag completed

let's move on to the fire technique!

##################################

1  With all your layers merged, if your

layer says background then

Layers/Promote Background Layer.

2 Layers/Duplicate (Do this twice!!)

3 Selection Tool :

On the bottom of the graphic select an

area just a little away from the sides of

your inside border and across the top

of the bottom. Make it a very thin

selection.

See Example below:

The fire will appear above the top of the

selection you make.  Herein is the secret

for placing a fire animation on anything

you want to add this animation to.

We will call the top active layer F1

for Frame one, middle layer F2 and

bottom layer F3. Rename the layers

only if that helps you ok?!

4 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy4000/Fire

For each frame you will have to click on

each frame one at a time before changing

the movement setting.

Settings shown for each F ( frame layer)

F1 = 25, F2 = 50 & F3 = 75 as shown.

NOTE: If your graphic is small such as

making a tag, then you may want to

adjust the column length to make your

flames shorter. Of course if you do this

you will have to use the same column

length setting on all 3 layers ... duh huh!

5 Selections/Select None

6 File/Save As = .Paint Shop Pro

Be sure that you do not have any of your

layers x-ed out.

Type in file name of your choice ending

it with .Paint Shop Pro

Save as type: Change to Paint Shop Pro

Image as shown above.

Then click on SAVE!

***********************************

OK ... Let's go to animation shop!

1 File/Jasc Software Products

Launch Animation Shop!  WEEeee!

2 File/Open

Find and select the .Paint Shop Pro file that you just

saved.

3 File/Optimization Wizard

Optimize to your liking.

4 View/Animation

5 File/Save as!

That is it!  Yee-Haw!

AfterThoughts:

There is a funny thing about the

EyeCandy. It does not show the change

in the preview until you click in another

setting box. Then the original change you

made will be visible!?

Weird and annoying.  GRrrrr!

You can use this technique in different

forms of stats.. top border could be

another possibility or even adding to

text.

Huggers! Now go make some firey stats!

Don't let your mamma catch ya! LOL

HOOTY

 Remember to Watermark your creations!
